FS: 10 Free Neo Geo MVS titles

Hi all,

My name is Jaleel Beck - a bit of a newbie in this area, but hoping to make your acquaintance in time.  To start things off, I'm giving away about 10 Neo Geo MVS titles for free.  I got these with a purchase of an old MVS cab, which the seller had to move in a hurry.  One other was purchased from a member of neo-geo.com.  I wouldn't expect to get much for them, so giving them away here seemed like a better idea.  Here are the titles based on the MVS cart photo from left to right:

• Fatal Fury Special
• Metal Slug X
• Metal Slug
• NAM-1975
• Baseball Stars Professional
• Ninja Combat
• Puzzle Bobble
• Real Bout Fatal Fury
• Magician Lord

Again, I'm giving them away for free, but to make this fair, offer is 1 person per cart, and 1st come/1st served.  The offer is good for 15 days of the posting, after which I will ship out the carts.  I only ask that you cover shipping - costs are flat $10 for domestic, $25 for international priority.  Each will be securely packed with tracking info.

With each reply for a title, I'll send a response confirming the title is yours.  I'll accept changes for a different unclaimed title that's within the 15 days and will announce any changes in the lineup per day.

Love your blurb about Street Fighter 2 and "quartering".  Nothing was worse back in the day than when someone jerked the stick hard enough to flex the CP and you watched a dozen quarters slide down the screen glass behind the controls...  I saw more than one REAL fight start that way!

lol - I've seen it, too.  I think the most fascinating thing I saw at the arcades was a deaf youngster rocking everyone in Street Fighter 3.  When people finally copped out, he went on to beat the game in short order.  Made Gill look like a mini-boss.

Glad that you like the idea.  I think it's easier and better to offer these free rather than trying to find a buyer, especially since there are people here that already have a MVS or supergun equivalent.

I didn't know that Puzzle Bobble was a commonly bootlegged game.  Those bootleg KOF games are everywhere -- like 60% of a 161 in 1 MVS cart everywhere.

Hey thanks for the welcome. I still own the cab -- I bought it from a local seller who needed to get rid of it because he and family were moving.  The monitor and most of the cab exterior was in excellent shape, but the joysticks, buttons, and control panel were not.  I replaced the joysticks and buttons, sanded and repainted the control panel, replaced the control panel and memory card graphics, swapped the LED panels in the 4 slot marquee, and reattached the memory card jamma which was taken out by the owner.  Still need to swap out the bottom coin slot, but it looks pretty nice now.

Also keeping it MVS.  May one day get a multicart/MAME unit, but likely a different model.  I have a few games I want to keep.

Mr_Numbers wants NAM-1975 or Puzzle Bobble.  Slippyblade PM'ed me offering Metal Slug to mann0mann, who then freed up Magician Lord.  When I asked whether he still wanted any cart as alternate, he chose Puzzle Bobble.  Because it was a PM and not on the forum, I have to leave the final choice for cart up to Mr_Numbers. 

@Mr_Numbers, can you tell us which cart you want as a final choice?  You can choose one of the two, or later, any of the others that are still unclaimed.

@Mr_Numbers, because TKW4rr10r has claimed this as a final choice, you can choose Puzzle Bobble or another unclaimed title.

I've gotten PMs for this and other games, plus claims to more than one game.  I ask that any requests stay in the forums, because otherwise people can't track what is being requested.  I'm only accepting requests that are made in the forum thread because it is fair to everyone that can see what is posted.  Originally I stated _one per person_ to keep things fair.  You have a better chance of claiming a desired title if you choose just one.  If you mention two but don't decide on one, then another person can claim one of those two games as their final choice.  You then have to choose the remaining title from your two choices, or another unclaimed title.

As for other offers, I don't really need the money, which is why I'm offering them for free.  Thanks!

Ironically Im in the middle of setting up RetroArch on my PS3, already have SNES set up and configured, Im just going through and deleting unwanted ROMs.Im really hoping SegaCD and the like is easy enough to set up.

Might be - I haven't tried Retro Arch yet.  I don't get to play as much nowadays, so nearly 4000 games based on the most popular titles and consoles is fine for me.  Was nice to see some Xbox titles in there as well.
