Nuexzz:
I guess we will have real HD textures "Sega Racing Classic" when someone achieves extract textures hard drive (RingWide)  :-\

Nuexzz:
another of my favorite games is scud race so here I started to play around with the new "Scud Race + + Patch and Hacks" as we all know supermodel emulator does not support replacement textures :(  (hopefully in the next version count with replacement textures  ;))  ... but at least I managed to change the skins of the leading cars.

SegaOutrun:
nice! i love scud race. Although I think the only one that got improved was the viper in blue/orange. maybe im just too used to seeing them in their original colors. keep up the hacks!

Although I wouldnt hold my breath on a new supermodel. Their website still shows 0.2, even tho 0.3 has been available for more than a year

edit: i decided to check out the supermodel forum and wouldnt you know, theres a little moment going on. Hopefully it leads to something

Nik is quite busy these days and I haven't heard from him in a while (I hope everything is okay!) and I've spent that time finishing my PhD and then starting work (which keeps me very busy indeed). That said, last weekend I started laying some groundwork for a 3D engine rewrite that I'm hoping will lead to better performance on lower-spec hardware and fix the nasty shader bugs affecting AMD GPUs. I'm not sure if my new engine architecture will pan out, or how long it will take (I estimate several months at the current rate of progress, assuming something else doesn't steal away my time), but it's an interesting idea worth trying. I forgot how much work went into the original 3D engine! In a whole weekend of coding, I'm not even at the point yet where I can actually render anythin
