Ultimarc RGB classic buttons
seanr28:
Who has them?
I have just received 20 of them, and must say I honestly not impressed with them at all.
The feel very cheap in deed
when the LEDs are in place the wires are crushed against the Microswitch as there is no actual place for them to go
and when its all back together the buttons don't feel right and the movement is restricted because of the wires.[/li][/list]
personally Im wishing that I had just purchased illuminated colored buttons
Looking at them, the only way to overcome this issue would be to drill the bottom side of the buttons where the microswitch sits and have the wires route via the new hole
any thoughts?

I do that with IL Transluscents all the time. It's preferable.

I don't have any experience with those buttons as I went with the Electric Ice 2 push buttons. But, are you saying the light is further up inside so the act of pushing down the button rubs on wires? If so, then you might want to look at the EI2 buttons in combination with the RGB Drive II light.

I've got them in my cabinet. I had the same issue as you initially, where they felt really mushy with the LED installed. I fixed it by pressing the button down as I snapped the switch into place over the cable. That way the LED is below the buttons even when they're at the bottom of their throw. That made them feel the same as without the LED for me.

they would have been better. Too late now though as I have just got 20 of them, shame, it put me off the Ultimarc stuff in the future. I can believe how poor quality these things are.
