PC Game artwork within Maximus Arcade
« on: January 22, 2014, 06:50:52 am »
Hi all,  I have been playing around with Maximus Arcade and have a few PC games setup within the Batch Files section.  Is there a trick to get Maximus to display artwork such as marquee and video snaps within the Batch Files screen?  They are working fine for all other console / MAME etc. It's the only thing I cant get to work within Maximus :(

If you have the latest version of maximus you can do what I did. Instead of creating batch files just make a folder with all the shortcuts of your games and direct the media roms in maximus preferences to that folder and make a snaps folder with all your game screenshots and whatever just like all the other emulators. That works for me.

Hey Thomas, thanks for the reply.  Yeah I have the latest version installed, and I have setup the shortcuts like you have for PC Games.  I just couldn't seem to get the screenshots etc to work even after I mapped to the correct folder (as I did with all the other consoles).  Now that I know it actually should be working i'll try to see whats going on with it.  I thought maybe that the batch files game selector screen didnt display artwork.

I named all the screenshots etc the same as the shortcut located within the ROMs folder but it didnt work.  Ill see how I go...   :)

I haven't had this happen but under cdvd in pcsx2 I selected iso instead of plugin. And I just browsed for a game in the iso selector and played a game. Then I didn't mess with anything and it lets me plsy any game through maximus.

Game plays fine from Maximus the problem is that only plays the game loaded in CDVD in this pic shows Tekken selected . And if i want to play MArvel vs Cap (from maximus), Tekken starts all the time

@markmik, what happens if you assign a button to take a screenshot in game, does it work? if so check the folder and see what it named the screenshot, might give you some clues.

@Caparo8bit, maybe start a different thread next time :) What do you have in the command line of MA?

:o No way it worked!  :notworthy:

Thanks Juddy! It was a really simple fix! I was unaware of the screenshot function! I had a slight formatting issue, but was able to see it straight away with your help  :banghead:

Thanks for your help!
