| Material used to cover CPO? |

I would appreciate it if anyone could tell me what material they cover their control panel with? I am just looking for a plain black covering but am having trouble sourcing appropriate material here in the UK. My joysticks are top flush mounted, but the vinyl I have tried is so thin that any imperfections show through - I think I need some thicker material but I have not found anything suitable in the UK. Thought maybe about contacting these one of these firms to see if they can supply me with a suitable plain black CPO covering but have no experience with either of them. http://www.arcaderepairs.co.uk/ https://www.facebook.com/arcadeprintshop Any help would be massively appreciated - Thanks. |

It's quite hard to get the nice plain black vinyl in the UK. Happ sell it but it will cost you a bomb. It is worth noting that their stuff is really thin, so you still need to prepare the surface of your CP so it is nice and smooth. I have read good things about arcadeprintshop at UKVAC, so I would give them a shout. You could have some nice art printed instead of plain black too. I believe they can do nice laminated CPO's, so will be a bit thicker than plain vinyl. |

Imperfections will show through with any flexible vinyl even the thickest ones. How about a picture to see what we are dealing with? |

if you want plain black, i'd use a piece of plexiglass with the back side spray painted black. it is cheap, it looks nice, it is smooth, and cleans up easily. i used a 97 cent can of flat black spraypaint from walmart. |

Part express or speaker/electronic company's are also good places to look at. Lots of vinyl's for speakers and such. http://www.parts-express.com/ |
