I would love to build an upright driver with swappable panels so I can use my 2 player steering wheel panel as well as my usb spy hunter panel.  Then when the mood strikes, easily switch over to a standard 2 player setup..  Any thoughts or has anyone seen something similar?

my cab is half and half. But its not switchable. I just put the steering wheel in the middle and joysticks on each side. I use a stool to sit. It works perfectly for my needs. I do wish I had woodworking skill to make it prettier tho.

Hi guys, I built a few stand up racers but always kept them dedicated
Here is a bar top, model 2 only.

And this is a Turbo Outrun before:

And after:

I always tried to keep racing games dedicated, there is always room for 2 machines in anyone's house, lol

Nice looking machines!  I never considered bartopping a stand-up driver--that bears some further investigation--or maybe I'll just make a dedicated stand-up for swappable panels (man do I miss championship sprint and ivan stewart's offroad..)

Let's see:

panel 1: 2 x 360's with nitro button (hi-lo shifter?) (pole position, championship sprint, off road)
panel 2: USB spy hunter (spy hunter)
panel 3: 270 wheel with 4 position shifter (bunch of others lol)

What other combos?

Im doing this same thing with a road blaster cab. Plan is to have two 360 wheels, flight stick, two joys six buttons. A panel for casino games and whatever other combos I can come up with. I am also running jvl orion with itouch 7 in the same cab. That way I can also use the touchscreen for a juke.
