Signatures not working
« on: December 11, 2013, 04:40:50 am »
It seems that standard signature signing (using ~~~~) does not show the username. I'm going to look into it (so far I haven't found anything useful about it yet). So I'm signing talk pages manually for now. Scott, can you check if it is working for you or just a local thing?

Tried it on your talk page.

Looks like it works.

Weird. Mine doesn't show. I'll make a custom signature then in my wiki profile.

Pic attached to make sure we're talking about the same thing.

I typed:
"Test of the tildes for sig/username as requested.
 ~~~~"
It now shows:
"Test of the tildes for sig/username as requested. PL1 (talk) 12:54, 11 December 2013 (EST) "
The wiki source converted the four tildes to a username and timestamp:
"Test of the tildes for sig/username as requested.
[[User:PL1|PL1]] ([[User talk:PL1|talk]]) 12:54, 11 December 2013 (EST)"
Yep, that's the same thing. When I type the '~~~~' it shows '-12:54, 11 December 2013 (EST)', so my name is just a dash. However, I logged out and back in this morning and now it seems okay. Probably just a glitch or something...
Thanks for testing :-)
