Groovy Game Gear - Holy crap!
« on: November 23, 2013, 08:08:47 pm »
I'm just posting this as a massive thumbs up to Randy from Groovy Game Gear.  I've done some small orders from him in the past and was pleased with all aspects of the order.  However I just had an experience that just blew me away.

I was nosing around the website and found a part that I wanted to try, but the available options were not quite what I was after.  I sent Randy a PM through the board here and not an hour later I get an answer back from him.  Not only was my option available, but he had just added the option to the website because of my request.

Freakin' awesome.   :applaud:

Now if only I could get 1/10th that kind of service from GameStop.   :banghead:

I placed my first order with them last night and got a really nice welcome email that seemed genuinely sincere. It's nice to deal with good people.

I had a GGG spinner for a few years and when I went to add a token top knob to it, I had an issue with it and I kinda ended up jamming it up a little.
Randy had me ship it to him and he fixed it no charge. I just paid shipping.

i know it's a bit (depending on your budget) expansive they cost me around 13 $ with an additional 7 $ for the shipping alone , for 16 switches,
and i thought it wasn't worth the money when i bought them, but immediately after i got them i think they worth every penny.

I ordered all my cab components from GGG and was really pleased with the experience. Everything was neatly packaged, arrived on time and products seem good quality (Have not played it yet).  Only thing is shipping to Canada gets you screwed with duty fees. Nevertheless, will order again from GGG 10/10!  :applaud:

Yeah +100 here.  I've done business with RandyT a couple of times.  He also helped me with some design elements to prepare for future upgrades.  EI2 buttons are very cool, especially with the new RGB drives.  Also, I installed a GGG 3" trackball on my in-laws cab and it feels and works exactly like trackballs twice the price.

What's the best way to get in touch with Randy? I've sent him an email through his site as well as a PM here with no response.  :dunno

I've found PM'ing through the board is the quickest way to get hold of him.  He will answer either way, but may take a bit.
