| 3ds max -> life-sized templates? |

Hi, here's a couple of crazy questions... I want to print out banner-sized templates for a cab project. I've already made a scale mock-up of the cab in 3ds max and can export to a variety of file formats. What's the best workflow for translating that into life-sized two dimensional images that the printers won't have too much confusion about printing out? Thanks. I want to go into this making as few assumptions as possible to ensure timely success. :) |

You won't find too many people using 3ds Max here. They all use sketchup. I use it though so here's your answer: Export Max design to dxf CAD format, import into Visio, choose 1:1 print setup (assuming your original design is 1:1 accurate) and then print. Visio will automatically span whatever paper size you choose in the printing. If you have problems with the view of the CAD file in Visio, I can help with that. |

Microsoft Visio? I wasn't aware it did that, awesome, thanks! I'll try this out shortly. |
