Setup 12v coin mech.

Binkles:

Ok got a coin mech, 12v sucker.

Needs a zender (sp) diode to connect to the ipac2. How has anyone wired this? Can someone please photo theirs where it connects from a psu, through the diode, and then to the ipac.

Please this is starting to really frustrate me.

I've also wired up power, but it doesn't seem to accept any coins (not connected to ipac).

I made a video years ago for a mars coin mech. prob not that helpfull but worth a look maybe

PL1:

To program the mech, check out the video here.

Next, click HERE for a post by dgame that has a wiring diagram showing the zener diode between the coin signal line (it then connects to the IPac coin input) and ground.

Look just above the text on the left side and you will see a rectangle with a band -- that's the diode..

The band on the diode is toward the coin signal line. (scroll down to my post in the linked thread above for more details and a related photo)

Does the coin mech have a led to say whether it's connected?

Looking for a live example of how people have wired them.

Sorry.

Seen the video, but unsure whether it's even working, or not, I can't seem to tell.

If I have it wired to just the power supply, how can I test to make sure it's working, or juiced even?

Hook up the output to a voltmeter. It should trigger 12vdc if working properly.
