| Pin out for Tornado PCB for Opti-Pac |
| (1/2) > >> |

I recently bought a tornado spinner to replace my old tron spinner I had on my control panel which was hooked up to an Opti-pac. I decided to buy it new from e-bay since the list price was a little cheaper. Regretting that decision now. Instead of getting one with a USB connection I opted for the PCB to connect it directly to my existing Opti-pac. When it arrived it had now molex or wiring to hook up to the Opti-pac. Grrrr. Now I have to 1. Find a connector that will fit it 2. build one myself or 3. Solder the wires on. The pins on the PCB are also unmarked and I can't find any documentation on it. Does anyone know what the pinout is for this PCB? It's a SlikStik 4205 optic sensor. |

If it is the same as a Happ trackball board it will have the following pinouts. See picture. To check this please provide a picture of the underside of the board so I can see how the actual circuit is connected. |

I don't think it the same. May give this a try but it a real pain to connect it all and then test it. |

So provide a pic of the underside of the PC board so that we can see what the actual circuit is. |

Was there a reason for replacing the Tron spinner? If the optic board finally went in it, you could have got a reproduction optical board for the Tron spinner. http://www.twistywristarcade.com/bally-midway/637-reproduction-tron-optical-encoder-pcb.html He also carries the molex connector you need for the slikstik board. There is a chance that the slikstik optical board could be like the oscar optical board for the pin out. Which is different from the Atari & happ optical boards. |
