Truck Racer
tron84:
This just came out on the 18th, Truck Racer.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/256070/
I got it yesterday because it thought it look good & seems to have some mayhem to it ;D
Says that the Key Features:
10 environments and 48 tracks
6 truck categories with distinct styles, and 54 possible upgrades
A championship mode with 13 events
2 multiplayer modes : up to 2 players offline and 4 players online
Realistic and localized damages
So the 2 multiplayer modes seem to have promise.
Getting ready to install & check it out. I use a Thrustmaster Ferrari F430 Force Feedback Racing Wheel
http://www.thrustmaster.com/en_US/products/ferrari-f430-force-feedback-racing-wheel
I know most use a G25 or G27, I just liked the F430 because of the medal paddle shifters & medal pedals.
I will let ya know what the game play is like. :)
Fursphere:
There is like........zero information on this game out. The publisher's page is horrible. The Steam page lists both "full controller support" AND "partial controller support" - I have no idea what that means. lol
The game itself - from the trailer - looks fun. Just wondering if it'll support wheels or not.

Well I installed it & checked it out last night.
It looked really good & seemed like it is a fun racer. Who does not want to race a Semi cab. ;D
Now the bad,
It had no wheel support but it picked up everything on my Trustmaster F430 except the gas & brake pedals??? I tried all the different settings, combined, separate & inverted etc for the pedals. It would only use a button on the wheel for gas & brake . So I only ran a couple of races to get the feel of the game & check out the graphics & physics of it. Which seem pretty good.
It had by default either a xbox controller or keyboard settings. It would only allow in the setting to map the keyboard. :banghead:
So for my wheel I am going try the Xpadder to see about getting the pedals going. Why in the hell would you make a racer nowadays w/o wheel support????
Maybe other wheels it would pick up all of the settings? w/o having to use a Xpadder or joy to key.
So I will tinker some more on it.
BadMouth:
The only reason I stick with Logitech wheels is the profiler software. On a setup where you're running a crazy variety of emulators, old games, & new games, it makes life easier.

You might give x360ce a try, although I've only had limited success with it.
