SPI-D Digital Speedometer AND MAME

is someone know how to configure it in mame?
i succeeded to confgier only in game that come with the software. like F1-2010,GRID

I think that requires MAMEHooker? Then you have to find the memory segements for each game that represent "speed" and "push" it to the SPI-D speedometer. (I have no idea how to "push" the data to the speedometer either....)

In that case, the output would have to be hooked up in MAME, most likely by Howard.
Then it MIGHT be possible to have MAMEhooker translate it into something the display could use.
We're probably only talking about one or two games working even if everything was hooked up in MAME.
IIRC, it works with games like F1 and Grid by tapping into the physics engine.
MAME is completely different.

I dont believe this is entirely accurate.
Racing games all have Speedometers. They are already on-screen... so I have no idea why you would want a digital readout.. (Id prefer an analog gauge myself, as well as an analog Tach... ) But.. if one is good at programming, they can do something similar to what Mamehooker does.
Basically, you have to use a tool to analyze variables that the games using. Once you find the speedometer value, you can write a program to monitor that value... and to output a signal to trigger the device.
Thats how the 'cheat' engine works in mame. Someone searches for values, finds them.. then makes a 'cheat' to exploit those variables.
Im no coder. I just know the rough concept of how it works.
