Agreed with the CRT sentiment, also Auto-Stereoscopic 3D doesnt need glasses. Parallax barrier kinda works like looking through a picket fence, where each eye can see the side of the image its supposed to, the other popular method is to use a lenticular lens, which the best way I can explain is the trading cards (and things of that ilk) look like 1 thing, then changes to something else when you look at it , at a different angle.
