Tutorials on building a MAME arcade from scratch

I spend an awful amount of time scouring the internet for that perfect empty arcade case.  The right shape, price, location, and condition.  And It probably just doesn't exist.

Can someone please link me to plans to make one from scratch.  Down to measurements, what wood to use, proper screws, and power tools.

Preferably either a Showcase Cabinet, or a 25inch Dynamo Cab.

Well for starters, you've already found one of the absolute BEST resources on the web for just about anything/everything "Build Your Own Arcade Cabinet."  These forums have literally thousands of threads with the very information you're looking for.

Here are a few to help you get started  . . . .

I know you can also obtain construction plans for both an upright and a "showcase" style arcade set-up from North Coast Customs ---> http://www.mameroom.com/Products_Plans.asp

3rd on the book.

When I typed "plans" into the search window, it returned 13 pages of results.
When I typed "dynamo plans" into the search window, it returned 3 pages of results.

If I could go back 13 years or so in time and give myself advice, it would be to start small.
1. Set up MAME on the PC first
2. Build fight stick
3. Build Bartop
4. Build bigger if necessary

That is probably all I would have needed back then.  Best of luck

BTW, you need to know about http://slagcoin.com/joystick.html too
