ipac2 & coin mech?

Funkoid:
I'm intending on purchasing a coin mechanism with a single micro switch on it. It will be used with an ipac2, I understand that when a token or coin is passed through the mech the micro switch registers a coin in (5).

Are there any limitations to doing it this way? Can the coin in (5) input function be used as a credit to player 2 in 99% of games? I recall there being a separate slot in a number of the larger two and four player games hence having 6,7 and 8 also acting like a coin in, is there a way around the problem in such situations?

you can config mame so each coin deposit triggers a credit for player one, two, three, and four.

If you are only buying a single mech door for budget reasons I have 4 double mech doors leftover from some waterlogged arcade dartboards I parted out a while back. I'll sell them cheaper than a new single mech door.

Some games really NEED to be credited separately for each player. Sure you can configure mame so it credits each player with each coin but most games aren't really going to like that. Plenty of them will eventually autostart the other players even if they aren't there.

Thanks are the 2 player mechs you have easy enough to wire up? Are they of a specific denomination? I'm UK based and will need it ideally by next Wednesday?

Nevermind, I can't economically ship you a coin door from America and have it there next wed.
