Opinion- how much should I care about this (re: cocktail glass)

Absolutely agree with Delusional.  My guess though is that you would prefer the replacement piece.  No matter how much they discount it, you'll still have the less than perfect piece and you'll never forget it.

You don't have to approach it as a complaint.  Just simply return with an 'Aww, I just noticed you guys etched the glass, but it shouldn't have been.  How soon can I have a new piece made withiut the etching?'

They'll recognize their mistake and right their wrong.  I'm sure they do it all the time.

And...if you feel you might consider a 2nd build for a friend...then maybe offer something low for the mistake piece.

Yeah, I am using a beat up Atari Cocktail as a template so it is a match for Atari glass.

OK, thanks for the thoughts, the glass place is closed over the weekend but I think I will ask for a refund or new peice on Monday. Hopefully it goes well. Bah, the same glass online is $85 shipped. Should have done my research.

Damn! Where's that place?! My first (and only) online search showed a price of $571.76 even before they asked where they were shipping it to.

:dizzy:

Ninja Edit: AHA!!! OneDayGlass.com?

:D

Yeah, OneDayGlass. No experience with them but the cost is cheaper than the local shops- although the tint might be less dark than what the local shops offer (I just kind of assumed you could get any percentage of tint originally).

It's a nice deal, really. (I didn't find an option to cut the radius into the corners, mind you.) I have a glass place on the corner, so the shipping price is a bit prohibitive for me. Being in Canada, it was $87, which cost more than the actual glass.
