Setting up Dolphin. If I get some Wiimotes - will they work with the AimTrak IR bar rather than the Wii Sensor Bar? any advice appreciated. |
| Slippyblade:
The WiiMotes don't care WHAT they see as long as it's at least two distinct lights. I've screwed around and used WiiMotes with a pair of candles sitting on top of my TV. All the 'Mote is looking for is a stationary pair of lights to calibrate off of so you can use literally anything you want. |

I just tried with the Aimtrak bar and it worked. |

In my living room, the Wiimote sensor bar faces the couch, but I can't see it from the kitchen (I have a TV in there for when I'm cooking). However, my cab faces the kitchen, so when I'm watching Netflix I just aim the Wiimote at the cab. I've done this for so long I hardly think about it anymore. A while back we had a party and a fair amount of folks brought their kids. We had the cab going in the living room along with fighting games on the PS2, but there were still a couple of hands without controllers; so I added the Wii to the mix by piping the signal to a bedroom TV, then I placed two candles on top of the TV (a'la Slippyblade). Instant sensor bar. |
