Not so bad if you have a trackball and mouse buttons, but a dealbreaker otherwise.

Any success with getting the box to not pop up?

As far as making it disappear in offline mode, I haven't messed with it.

The version of Super Street Fighter IV that I downloaded directly from Capcom uses the hell that is Games For Windows Live and won't save any progress in offline mode.  The hacked version I was using on my last setup that didn't have an internet connection wouldn't save progress either.
I decided to let the cab have a connection.

When steam can connect I get no pop-ups.
I think if I sign in on a different computer, it might make me sign in again.
If it does that, I'll use the command line above to automatically log in.

I may revisit offline mode for steam though because sometimes when I turn on the cab, I have to stare at steam updating for a few minutes before the front-end launches.

I would think the best free game ever made "MegaMan X Street Fighter"   Would be a perfect fit!

I know I ca run it with my USB joystick interface very well.

also if you haven't gotten the game yet make sure you get it from CAPCOM's website so they can track how popular the 8-bit blue bomber games still are!!

Just saw this on Steam and it looks like a great cabinet game (Gauntlet remake), although Win7 and above only, no XP.  It's also on sale...
