On the london side of things, how is the center of london? Just as bad?

If you are asked where you are from, say you are Canadian.  Americans are not safe in the UK, as there are more immigrants in
London and they hate us for all different reasons.  Keep your head down and keep a low profile. The police are useless. Get home as quick as you can.

Seriously.

Be safe.

Tip of the iceberg

For god sake... I really wish you'd go back to the US.

Lets not turn this into YET ANOTHER ark_ader bashes the UK.

Its too boring.

Can someone please find this guy a job back in America? Maybe car wash or something?

I totally sympathize on the British perspective , but when the shoe is on the other foot, it is very difficult, as you are stranger in a foreign country, you are unaware of the dangers.  Knifing and gangs has been in the news recently, with gang organization via social media.  The London Riots is a prime example, and one should be made aware of that.

My sister lives in Harrow-on-the-hill and a tourist was mugged just the other day.  Frightening.

I would give London a wide detour and visit Manchester and the Lake District instead, if have to.

Total crap ... let's not go down the route of comparing crime / gun / riot / knife / mass shooting figures, please - but I have a feeling you'd like that.

This isn't a country you care, love or were brought up in, so my advice would be to leave your uneducated comments to those of us who do.

Oh, and the fact you mention people go to Manchester instead just shows how little you know about GB.

PsychoAU:

yeah, but what are the shower heads like in Manchester?

CoryBee:

This guy ^^^

CoryBee:

Look at this lady, completely loving it.

I care more about the state of my shower than what has been the topic the past couple of posts. I appreciate the warning of course but I do enough research into the areas I visit and take proper precautions. Wouldn't let things like this stop me from visiting strange lands nor pretend I am from another country to "fit in".

So about that shower head debacle.......Anyone have one of those shower head hand things and could tell me if they heads are removable?

Use a tap adapter.

Safer and more logical.
