Rainfall shower head in the UK
CoryBee:
So I have this awesome 14 3/4" x 10" Rainfall shower head as pictured (ebay picture not how it is installed currently, mine hangs over the shower)
It is attached via an adjustable arm as pictured
I can not describe accurately how awesome these rainfall shower heads are, I converted everyone around me to get them and they are not disappointed. If you don't have one, get one! You can get them on ebay pretty cheap but just stay away from the LED ones as they are stupid loud and the LEDs don't last long. I got my shower head for a steal, $25 shipped and then it was $18 for the adjustable arm.
Anyways on the the issue.
The lady and I are going to London for 6 months and the flat we have waiting for us has one of those "shower head rails" as pictured below.
This will just not do, not after experiencing the wonder that is a rainfall shower
I was hoping there was someone that could help shed some light on fitting my shower head onto this type of unit without modifying anything (This is key!!). My google foo failed me in my attempts to find an adapter or something.......

I cant help you, but I have to say I am fascinated by your story!
Edit: just had to check it wasn't from 1st April :-)

Depends on their water pressure. I'm sure you can get some plumbers tape and make it fit, but the second picture is probably a Triton shower, and those are electric. I call them taking the piss showers, as I'm used to power showers.
Personally I wouldn't bother as you will end up breaking it, and your landlord will end up asking if you was taking the piss :laugh2: attaching it.
Just go outside. There is a good chance it will piss down (its a bank holiday right?) this weekend, and you can get the same effect for free.
Enjoy your stay, but I bet you a buffalo nickel that you will be homesick within a week. Also be careful London is not a safe place, so watch your back. Seriously.

Want to make it better? Figure out how to remove the flow restrictor! ;)

I can leave earlier if I need, I will also be flying back for business for a few weeks so I am not too worried. Have been bored out of my mind lately here so it can't be too bad.
The shower is just one of those rail ones with the hand spray thing I think. Was just hoping there was an easy way to disconnect the hose from the hand and put on my arm extender thing. If I am gathering it right as well the PSI is really low in the UK? So even if it was to fit and not fall over or something cause of the weight the power just wont cut it?
On the london side of things, how is the center of london? Just as bad?
