Eightball outhole kicker stuck.
« on: August 20, 2013, 06:05:40 pm »
The outhole kicker was working intermittently,I sometimes had to hit the flippers to get the next ball in play. I tried to adjust the leaf switch and now the kicker activates when I turn the power on and begins to overheat. What is the problem?

The problem is that you never posted back to us on your previous thread about having NO solenoids at all and now you want MORE help?

Dude, you got a lotta nerve... We are here to help you.. Sure...but when we feel like we are being taken advantage of or not appreciated then you know where you can go and don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

Any tech on this forum with any decency won't help you either.

You probably blew a transistor on ther Solenoid Driver Board.. and in your case I'm GLAD.

uh, make sure the leaf switch you adjusted is not now permanently closed.  its hard to see visually sometimes so check it with a meter.  if it still stays on regardless of the switch the associated driver board transistor needs replaced.

leaf switch/coil/coil-sleve/driver transistor
at least mock right

replace the ^^^^^^^^^^^^ in that order
no longer "try" to tinker with a leaf switch unless u know that a match book cover is about 1/28th of a inch, gee just about what u need
move on from your mistake and LEARN.....

We need to LEARN to NOT help people that don't appreciate it....and can't post back....

That leaf switch can be stuck closed indefinitely in this game and it won't blow the transistor ...

Some Tool was probably adjusting things with the power on... :tool:
