I was wondering if anyone knew of a PC Jukebox that has the following functions/compatability
Windows XP
Password protected settings
no access to any other programs/functions on the computer without the password
song selection lock except with password
playlist protection, no deleting previous selection
full song list with no sorting, or sorting
doesnt have to be a jukebox layout
mp3 compatibility
i think thats ABOUT it i can't think of anything else at the moment

I have been using EJukebox for a long time and it does all of that. It has a Kiosk mode that will allow you to lock the program fullscreen and prevent ctrl+alt+del etc until you enter your password to exit. You can also have it limit the number of songs added in x minutes, retrict playlist features, and allot more.

At some point in time I am going to go through this thread and update the first post with links. Then I will split the replies off. This thread was intended to list jukebox software available, not three replies linking to the same software and praising how much you like it.

I have been trying to keep my list updated in this thred so you might want to use that as the building block for you list. I rmoved a lot of the dead links and tried to mention which ones are shareware etc. Maybe then you could lock the thred so you don't get all the replies tagging on? Just a thought.

Not sure if this program has been emntioned before but I use a program called Command Cubes. http://www.commandcubes.com
It has every feature I've ever needed in a Jukebox software program.
It was originally designed to work with a touchpanel monitor but works just fine with a mouse/trackball as well. Has built in screensaver that can be activated as well.
It supports a manual queue, a stacker, playlists, and full random play. It was also originally designed to work in part with a Home Automation sustem but works just as well stand alone.
It has quite a following and gets updates pretty often.
It also is certified to play over your home network using Barix products so you can have music in every room in your house. It supports multiple zones that can be playing independantly ot in sync with each other.
And there's a ton more features.
Download the 30 day trial at their website and I think it's like $49.99 for a full copy.
I use it and love it. Can also control it from any PC that you install the "Viewer" part of the program on...
Anyway,, take a look and see what you think.

I just noticed it, but the juke image in the background of this is from one of my skins for DOSCab/WinCab (the AJ8 skin)! LOL!
(Edit: Slightly less amused now that I realize Silverjuke is a commercial product.. kind of nasty to steal resources from a free product in support of a commercial one...)
