It was suited for MameWAH based arcade-cabs, and it has also supporting Vertical monitors.

Tunez:

http://tunez.sourceforge.net/

Can be run as a standalone jukebox-style player, or shout/icecast server.  Has a voting system as well as all of the usual jukebox features you'd expect.  Runs "headless" and is accessed via a web interface on any networked machine.

There's a demo system up and running so you can check out the interface.  Not pretty, but very functional.

It's designed for areas where you have a lot of people at computers who want simple voteing rights to a jukebox without getting off their butt.  I've implemented a similar setup using some different software (not quite as good, but it was many years ago) in a corporate office.  Users could log in once every now and then and vote for their favourite songs, otherwise just random music would play.  It beats the hell out of default hold or elevator music, and means everyone has a say in what they listen to.

But yes, for a standalone jukebox in the corner of the house/room/pub it's not a good choice.

Just wanted to mention my "UncleT's Jukebox" software.  It plays audio and video through Windows Media Player.
Check out the site for features, screenshots, downloads, etc....
