Just an FYI:
Going to continue the cheap portables through August, so still just $100 for a decent laptop. I only ask that anyone doing these use the gift option in paypal, as the fees already eat into what little profit is made from these.

The modder is a great deal. It can play Ultra street fighter 4 on the lowest settings at 60 fps, and it plays model 2 games and almost every mame game at 100%. It struggles with the playstation 2 emulator(it gets about 45-55 fps on Tekken 5) , but if you get a cheap video card you should be able to play most ps2 games at 60fps.

Anyone on the fence about trying out Windows 10? These cheap desktops/laptops are eligible for the free upgrade.

So... you can download Windows 10 and tinker on a spare machine. Just go HERE and you won't have to wait.

I've been using it on my main laptop for awhile without any issues. My desktop had some hiccups, but it had some uncommon Hardware/Software (it's not one of these SFFs on the thread, it's an older machine).

With the modder option, how many graphics cards can be added and what type of slots are they PCI, PCIe etc. I plan on a visual pinball setup and these seem like a great deal for starter

Very nice! I didn't go through the whole post due to being lazy lol, so how would I go about ordering from you? And would I be able to upgrade a psu to a higher wattage (600-700) or go to a SSD and have it be at a savings than buying it from newegg or similar? Thanks!

and it has an odd shaped power supply but with a standard ATX connector. so if you up the power supply you'll need to upgrade the case. If you upgrade the case you are no longer limited to a 1/2 height video card.

For those looking for a graphics card for the modder, I picked up a GeForce 750ti low profile last week and it has been working awesome. I've been playing some 1080p Skyward Sword with the dolphin emulator and it looks amazing. Even though it has a higher recommended minimum psu, it has been running smooth.

I paid $120 (sold by Amazon) w/ Prime shipping. It was a bit more than I wanted to pay, but the benchmarks seemed way better than the 730 and 740 I was considering.

You'll probably be fine without it, but I have not tried any Daphne games so far with mine.

I wanted to run MAME with HLSL on, but had a few issues with lag. I also wanted to run the Dolphin emulator, which worked, but the framerate was terrible. After the gfx card upgrade, everything seems to be running great. I did have a bit of framerate stutter w/ Naomi, but I haven't tweaked the settings much on that yet.

I had to move a few of the cables so they weren't in the way, but yeah, no problems. It looked like a tight fit but worked out perfect.

Curious, anyone done any testing of GT Fore Complete with Windows 7 vs Windows 10.. On Medium Rez I get 96.5% on Low Rez I get 99.91%.. Just curious.

As mentioned above the modder will work with pretty much any PCI-e slot card (Might also require a PSU upgrade if high powered) - the Basic is in a small case so you would need to either remove it from the case or move it to a new case to use anything other than a half height card - and the laptops are like most laptops not upgradeable.
