I would like to purchase one of the pc's.   I saw the thread when browsing as a guest, and just joined up, so it won't let me PM you (that I can find), so can you pm me or list an email where I can get in touch with you to purchase one?   Thanks!

No worries I have you locked in (still some left). Once I can make heads/tails of it all I'll reach out to get your info for a shipping quote.

If you find a reason to make a couple more posts PM me then.  ;)

Waiting to hear back from my courier on the first round of shipping quotes. Did not want to bombard him with them all at once.

After I gets those, PMs will be going out to those to confirm they want to order. I'll then hit him up with the next round of shipping quotes.

The plan is to have my first batch of PCs (6-12) ready to ship withing the next couple days. 2nd round very soon after.

Sent a PM.

Also had one follow-up question. The intel i5 processor, do you know if its the i5-2500, i5-3550 or the i5-4590. There is a decent difference between the 3 of them. (Looking at passmark's site, those are the 3 i5 they have listed at 3.3ghz)

Good lord, I thought this would gather interest but had know idea it would blow up so quickly.  :dizzy:

If (and that's a huge IF from past experience here) the current parties interested follow through on their orders, I'm just about out of this promo run of PCs. I haven't collected any funds yet from anyone, since I don't believe in charging until these are boxed up and ready to head out the door. Unfortunately (or fortunate depending on your view) work has been extremely busy this week and I have a very pregnant wife at home who needs the rest of my time. The goal is to have them all ready by week's end or Monday.

Those who I haven't quoted shipping to yet should get this sometime today.

As of right -now-  I'm not taking anymore guaranteed orders on the promo run. If anyone backs out and more free up, I will take those who still PM me and let them know first in order of messages received.

This does not mean I'm out of equipment, not by a long shot. But I will need to gauge how much I can let stock go for after this run. As stated previously this run was done as a favor, and I have limited parts to make everyone contain 8GB of Ram. I'd like to keep them as close to $50 still as possible, though. I'll update once I can make the figures work. I also hope to add more variety in stock soon.

The two newbies above have their spots held, but do some posts, damnit, I'm not posting anyone's personal info in this thread so hit me up on PM once you get your 5 in.

I believe the 17" only have VGA out. 19"s have VGA and DVI out.

As some have mentioned above first payments were requested since orders are getting ready. first 10 boxes got prepped last night for pickup this am (currently 1AM here). Trying to get to these as time allows since work has been crazy. Tracking #s PM'ed to those who paid.

A few more shipping quotes going out via PMs, and will get the remaining tomorrow from the courier hopefully. Again, I don't ask for payment until I have the order ready to be shipped out the door, so don't get anxious if I don't respond right away. Anyone I communicated with is still locked in.

Once I know of any remainders of the run I'll be responding to those you showed interest in order. Anyone who doesn't respond in 24hrs goes to the next in line. Just trying to keep it fair. Some were custom orders so I'm not counting those against the run. If we run out of names I'll post a first come first served update in the thread.

OK. All remaining orders (but a couple I'm waiting on shipping quotes on) were set for ship Friday PM/ Monday AM (depening on when the UPS guy takes them). Tracking #s were provided to anyone who paid.

Going through my PMs, everyone should be accounted for except for shipping quotes to jpS14 and Anpanman, which I'll have Monday. IF I'm mistaken let me know and I'll make sure to accommodate anyone I may have missed.

That leaves 6 more I can do in this promo run.

Again, PMs are taken first, so fist 6 in will take priority, and any other will be in line if any fall through.

Due to the quick response on this I'm working on making more available, but do not have the specifics yet. But I simply cannot do them all under the same price / spec, but trying to work on keeping it as close to the promo rate as possible.

Malenko, please test Gauntlet Legends.  Thanks.

you are such a pain in my dick, but I love you so here goes:

During *ACTUAL* game play (ie not during the intro or CGI scenes)
with the dip set to medium res (512x384) the game runs mostly at about 95%  , it goes as low as 87% but as high as 100%.
with the dip set to standard res (512x256) the game runs 100%

Im sure adding any non super crummy video card will allow it to play 100% even at medium res.

Now do NFL Blitz

ran Blitz 2k, 100% even at medium res.  Cant do any more testing while at work, sry boo. I'd assume it'll run 100% on earlier versions of blitz.

Things of note(!):

Ran on Win 7 64 Pro
Used MAMEUI64 0.148 (jan 11, 2013 build)
As you know Blitz2k freezes at the first match up screen, so I based the test on the game demo of game play, not videos/CGI  I dont feel like downloading the regular blitz roms/chd while Im at work.

You realize you are now the official 'tester' now, right?

PM'ed about an additional 2.

Yeah they have a PCIe 16x card slot, so any low profile card that's not a power suck should work fine. Or full height card if you decide to de-case it. Thinking about doing that for a bartop build myself.

its a non standard PS.   The one in my PC is 240W , which is plenty for an older ATI or Nvidia card.

prolly a GeForce 8XXX series (like an 8800GT)

I hate ATI and their drivers, and the 9XXX series requires a 400w power supply.   I just cant say how great or bad it'll perform for PS2 emulation but it should be ok

Thanks. PS2 is really on the low end of the emulating I want to do. Demul and lower is really in my wheel house along with maybe a game of SF4 or two.

OK,

Had a few extra PMs and since I didn't have time to post this yet I'm grandfathering them in. But as of right..........

.... now the promo units are over. Anyone who reached out to me before this post have a unit held for them.

I want to thank everyone for their support. The funds form these will be going to a good cause and I'm blown away that I got such a quick response. Thought it would take several weeks to sells through the allotment. Those who came through on orders please keep me posted and let me know if I can be of any further help. If you can take a moment for a good trade mention after testing your PC(s) that would be swell.

This is not to say there are no more PCs. Issue is I simply do not have enough spare RAM to make them all 8GB (they originally deployed with just 2GB). I thought I would be working on these until the baby came, but since I have some weeks left I will look into selling more. Just working out a fair price for the equipment+time going into this.

Those talking about specifics on standard vs. non-standard parts -  the next model up (m91p) uses a standard mATX mainboard and PSU connections. So it can easily be  transferred to any standard case and use other PSUs, if that's what you are going for. Something to think about depending on your needs, but I'm not "officially" selling that model yet  ;)

I'm also prepping on another item to offer, but will be reaching out to a few who already placed orders on their opinion on a fair price.

I'll update once I have some news. This will be hopefully in the next week. Anyone still looking for a PC please PM me and I'll take care of ya.

Future Projects: Galaxian Anniversary, Mario VS DK, Rebirth
