Workarounds for both:

iPad:

Cancel login. Tap on forum again.

iPhone:

From the iPhone notification screen tap on any post notification for the forum.

It does suck quite a bit. I've basically stopped coming to the site and rarely lurk simply because it's a pain using the full website on a mobile device.

Yup. I'll get on using the pc every now and then but not near as much as I would if I had access through Tapatalk.

Saint has recently been away from supporting the board at the level we're all used to, due to a recent loss. During this time, we'll all need to be supportive.

This is an interesting twist now.... I was on Tapatalk this morning and read a few threads here. In the past after I pulled up the boards on my PC, the threads would as having "new" posts which makes sense because Tapatalk wouldn't let me login and browse. Today, however, the threads that I read did not show any "new" posts. So even though Tapatalk didn't show me as logged in, the forum still acknowledged that I read those threads.

Anyone else had that happen?

Yes. I've been running fine in Tapatalk on iOS without logging in. Just have to jump through a few hoops. Android I hear is not usable, though.

I thought it might have been something to do with my account, but I guess the API has just expired.

I wonder if using an older version of the Tapatalk app might be a solution. Finding a version that still supports the old Tapatalk API on this forum.

OK, first of all, sorry everyone about no replies and no working Tapatalk. In a brief nutshell, after a prolonged series of health issues my father passed away recently. As well, various other real life things have made my available time for proactive forum work about nil.

Yesterday I had shoulder surgery. Being doped to the gills and by force able to do little but sit I took a look at this. I *think* I have it working now? Someone please test and let me know?

Near as I can tell the Tapatalk SMF plugin is buggy?

I get a lot of undefined index errors in the forum log, making me think it didn't successfully update the database schema. Sent in a trouble report.

The more I dig into it, the more I read about problems with tapatalk and SMF. So much so that SMF pulled Tapatalk out of their supported plug in list.

I think we're dead in the water here, gents. With the forum software's own developers no longer supporting Tapatalk, I don't think there's much Saint could do to make it work.
