--- Quote from: 404 on August 12, 2013, 03:42:46 pm --- uzebox (jamma) is an 8 bit computing platform. it cannot run mame, it does not load roms either. It's basically a homebrew platform. --- End quote --- Thanks, looks like a decent board though. My initial thought was converting a MAME ROM bin file to hex, then the Uzebox tool to convert to the .uze format required for SD boot loader. But from what you are saying, even with conversion, it probably simply cannot run the original underlying ROM. Tim |

Tim --- End quote --- its a nice development platform if you want to make your own simple, 8 bit game. it does not have an operating system or anything of the sort. It's just a development board for your own, embedded games. think of it more like having a blank JAMMA board to make your own game on. A blank pac-man board for example. |

I have an uzebox jamma. It is a neat little toy, but not any real sort of solution for anything. It is lacking a bit in the software department. |

Wish I was more verse in electronic design and front end loading, so I could build one to do the trick. ;D Think I am gonna watch for not too expensive original PCBs, stock up on a few to flip between, until the day that a Jamma board that can load MAME ROMs gets created. ;) Tim |

Have you looked at the Multi-JAMMA? I think it's still available. http://www.multigame.com/order.html |
