removing loading screens and ram rom check

Caparo8bit:

is there a way to remove loading or ram check screens when selecting game (MAME) :dunno

PL1:

That screen looks like part of the original arcade game start-up process, therefore it will be in MAME.

Unless there is a dipswitch setting that disables self-test on power-up, the only way to get rid of it is to rewrite the program.

You should ask the MAME Devs to do that.   >:D   >:D   >:D
(Just kidding.  Don't even think about trying it.)

Couldn't you do something like create a save at each games title screen and make mame load the save when launching the game????

nitz:

Turn the autosave feature on. Not all games support it, but many of the popular games do. You'll only see that stuff the first time you play each game.
