Nice Artwork......

I'd lose the MAME though.....Predator alone, sounds better.....

This word needs to go somewhere on this cab.........

ooohwee, for the sides , i see cutouts for those triangle thingies, with pulsing leds behind them.........

Looking forward to the build..... :applaud: :applaud: :applaud: :applaud:

What's up with the alien rosetta stones on either side of the hunter on the sideart, that's some valuable artistic realestate dedicated to some scribbles.  I'm a big fan of different right and left sideart for cool themes like this - something to think about.

CP looks really sharp, add some feint blood splatter and a few scratches.

Lose the MAME and do the marquee in heat vision showing a team of soldiers walking through the jungle smallish down in one corner.  Leave the Predator font as is nice and big.

Maybe for lightning disks or something?

The art all looks pretty good to me, though I think in this case, Le chuck could be onto something with differing left and right side art.

Would be pretty cool to have the cloaked predator on one side of the artwork.... or in the midst of cloaking.. with his eyes visible.

Great feedback guys and thank you for it.  Graphics were printed today and being shipped.  I did lose the MAME piece but didn't get to read the other stuff until today and I'm thinking damn... I really liked some of your idea. As for the build skills.... I'm a monkey with a hammer... I am not looking forward to this which is why I have everything else done and now am left with no choice but to actually build the cab  ::)

My feedback was 10 hours after your art post.  Not a lot of time for peer review before heading to the print shop.   :dunno

Toadie jumped the gun....... :banghead:

Ok cab building 101, never print your art out first, cause guess what now your building around the art you've already paid for.

If you say you a monkey with a hammer, why would you put yourself in a situation to build around a precise printout.

I guarantee through this build you will change your mind about layouts and or the design of the graphics, once the wood starts coming together.

It was ok to design, but printing should of come waaayyy further down the line, when the wood started to come up, then you could of tweaked your graphics to suit your cab in process and reviewed the forums advice....

If you got all of that printed, your probably a couple hundred into it....so your kinda stuck.  You better get on those wood building youtube videos, or this will be a pretty expensive pre-mature excitement move....

Take your time man, think this thing through, dont rush it or you'll end up on CRAPMAME website.... :)

You've generated interest with those graphic skills, best not put it on poo...or you will hear it....

I like the graphics and the work mame in the marquee. But honestly, it reminds me more of Jurassic Park... WHICH I LOVE!

Well it's going really well and the graphics look awesome.  I'm going to need to make some changes to my design but actually it's because the graphics are so big I don't want to cut that much lol.  Really happy with how it's going thus far.

Instead of Predator can you call it The Choppa?  So when you have a party and some people want to play some arcade games you can yell out, "GET TO THE CHOPPA!"     :laugh2:

The build is going well, I'm close to setting the monitor in and I need to figure out a way to do the upper marquee section.  Time for some research.

Actually you are lol.  There are two in my shop right now that a friend and I are building.  It's been a very interesting challenge since we're both not necessarily inclined for this type of stuff.  We've learned a few things, tweaked a few things, and it's been good.  Last night I routed my CP and I think it looks nice but I can see the benefit of CNC.  I'm hoping to be in paint by this Saturday.

Here's something for anyone following.... I'm literally half an inch too wide to get it downstairs into my basement  :banghead:  I really hope I can take apart my sliding glass doors down there.  If I can't the dining room has a new arcade machine or I think I just bought a set of French doors  ::)

Arcade building 101, measure your entryways first....

mine fit through my front door with less that 1/4" of play space...

This might be the most undermentioned bit of advice on these forums.  Well done rablack!  Seriously, that should be step one of any build (and of any build how-to for that matter).

If you can't take apart the sliding glass door, take the basement door frame out.  It isn't as hard as you may think.   You may have to patch things a bit when you put it all back together but it would be worth it....will also keep the wife happy which is important in this hobby.

Well it's painted, the side graphics are on, and it's in the house  :applaud:

What a weird patio door, I ended up having to take it apart but that secondary door didn't move so I had to deframe it and take the glass out.  I've never seen that before.  Interestingly enough, it went back together really easy.  In any case, I'm now finishing the build inside the house as most of the wood work is complete.
