How do I upgrade XBOX 360 Harddrive?
« on: June 29, 2013, 06:25:00 pm »
I'm about to purchase the new redesigned XBOX 360 4gb version. I would like to install my own drive so I don't have to pay the inflated amount microsoft wants. So my question is can someone give me a step by step? Can I use any drive? What's the max size? etc. etc...

If memory serves there was those drives that were formatted to work with Xbox 360 with the only problem that the drives were not compatible with old Xbox games.

I have a 160 drive with the same formatting.  I don't know about using your own internally, unless they plug in via USB.
If I had only one wish, it would be for three more wishes.

Google it and you will find all kinds of info.  That aside, check amazon for pricing on the slim hard drives.  You can get them for around $50.  Might be a better option for you.

Are you talking about the New new design or the new design that's been out for a while now? The latest design is the one that looks like the xboxone........

Here is an interesting link:

Don't know if this applies to the model you are referring to but definitely a good read.
