Ginsu Victim:
Oh yeah, forgot about BSG. I watch it on Netflix.

W13 is kind of my replacement for the void that X-Files left behind. There was another series that SyFy tried to do to fill that void but it was so bad that IIRC it only lasted a season and has a forgettable title.
Primeval looks to be mildly interesting. Only mildly interesting since I absolutely loved Sliders as a kid but I look at it now and I wonder, WTF??
Try as I might, I really can't get into Defiance. I've watched about half a dozen episodes and it just doesn't catch my interest. It's certain subtle things about the show that prevent me from suspending my belief or even allowing me to enjoy the show in that corny, tongue-in-cheek way.
I thought Continuum started off really strong but for some strange reason, I stopped watching it, not sure why. Same way I missed the entire last season of Walking Dead. I just saw last nights episode about her friend/partner and I thought it was a really good development but, being sick, I fell asleep before the end :(

Im on the same page with you guys. Probably 99.9% of the SyFy made movies suck the stuff whales leave behind on the bottom of the sea.
I do like Falling Skies, and there has been a few gems.

I was flicking the channels and found myself on SyFy with this movie playing.
I saw parts of two scenes. The first was some sort of discussion between a bunch of :censored: in a SUV arguing about some sort of device and their plans for planting it on the mother ship. My first thought was, "Wow! That sounds exactly like the same plot in ID4!"
The second was some sort of flying split orb-like thing scanning some sort of wreckage. Wow... that looks an awful lot like the big spinning orb thing from Battleship.
I considered watching the film to see how many other movies SyFy decided to blatantly rip off but my finger had a mind of its own and changed the channel for me. :applaud:
I want my fifteen seconds of life back.
I don't know the length of this film but if we give a rating based on the asumption that it was 90 minutes long and I watched all of fifteen seconds, that gives it a score of ~0.27%. I say that's too high of a score.

For the first half of your post, I actually thought you were referring to ID4...I still like the movie, but it can be cheesy at points.
When it comes to SyFy movies, unless you are looking to laugh your ass off over the stupidity of them, you'd best keep moving along.
