What is the advantages and disadvantages of the I-PAC2 vs. KADE ? Is a single KADE unit be able to be use for a 2-player cabinet? Do I have to buy two KADE units for a 2-player cabinet ? Are both the I-PAC2 and the KADE compatible with Hyperspin with all types of emulators and PC games ? |

The Kade is only programmable via windows. The Kade is made with one player in mind. The iPac2 is programmable via windows, linux, and mac. The iPac2 is made with 2 players in mind. The iPac4 is the same as the iPac 2, but with 4 players in mind. The keywiz is only programmable via windows. The keywiz is made with 2 players in mind. The lono2 is made with 4 players in mind. The lono2 comes with a premade harness. The mini pac is made with 2 players in mind. The mini pac can also handle a spinner and trackball as well. The mini pac comes with a premade harness. I assume you can use wine or virtualbox to program windows only devices if you are using another os. |

Cost: KADE costs a bit less and if you are handy with a soldering iron, the KADE firmware can be used to program a Minimus AVR for even greater savings. --- Quote from: PTD on June 23, 2013, 11:50:24 pm ---Is a single KADE unit be able to be use for a 2-player cabinet? If you want Joystick + 6 buttons per player (20 inputs) and several shifted admin buttons, you'll only need one KADE. If you want Joystick + 6 buttons per player and several dedicated admin buttons, you'll need two KADEs. --- Quote from: PTD on June 23, 2013, 11:50:24 pm ---Are both the I-PAC2 and the KADE compatible with Hyperspin with all types of emulators and PC games ? --- End quote --- Yes. As far as the computer is concerned, the encoders are keyboards -- or a gamepad if the KADE is programmed with that firmware. Scott |
