You cannot hold your aim with that. --- End quote --- You can get away with using a standard joystick by using a programmable keyboard encoder and setting the up a standard keyboard repeat function. You should be able to easily do this with a Kade encoder. Perhaps you can even configure left and right turning views using a rotary stick. ??? |

The Logitech Wingman Warrior. Released early 90s. Connected via gameport (9 or 15 pin D-sub). It only worked with a couple of supported games games. Took a bit of getting used to but was surprisingly good once you got the hang of it. Overall, a little bit better than keyboard only control and miles behind keyboard + mouse. |

That said, I would think maybe a WSAD style keyboard layout using mini-arcade buttons + a wireless mouse would get the job done. Or buttons + trackball if you want something built into the CP and more "arcadey". |

I play DOOM on my driving cabinet. Does that count? :D |

Why would you want to play a non-arcade game on an arcade machine? Standing for a long time with only one person playing a long story line doesn't sound fun. That's why most newer console games are played usually while sitting on a couch with no friends. |
