Hi everyone, this is my first post here and I need your help figuring out what kid of cab this is. Some back story first: I was browsing my local Craigslist when this ad came up for an arcade business clearing out and they had cabs for sale. I shot the guy and email and asked him what he had. The one the peaked my interest was this Power Stone cabinet. He says the dimensions are (HxWxD) 5'x2'2"x3'4" and supposedly 250 lbs. What cabinet model is this a conversion of, or what is the kind of cab? I would like to know as I plan to keep the Naomi inside it and possibly add a Mame pc. I need to know if it's a wood or metal CP as I plan to bondo the holes and drill new ones to convert the power stone 3 button to an astro 6 layout. I am going to possibly go take a look t the cab soon, to check for any burn-in, flaws, and make sure it is working properly. Here is a picture of said cab: Side note: What do you guys think the black spot on the CP is? |

I actually haven't bought the cab yet, and he didn't have (what looks like) the MK for sale. The other notable cab he's selling if a Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter in the exact same style cab. If any of you want, I can post a pic of that too (he sent me pics of all he's selling), as the cab is exactly the same, but I am not interested in buying it. Also, the reason that I am interested in the Power Stone is because I have been looking for a Naomi cabinet so i can possibly sell the Power Stone cartridge and get me a nice GD-ROM Drive/CF Reader to play my favorite (so far) Naomi game Capcom vs SNK 2! EDIT/UPDATE Here is the photo of the Mavel vs SF cab that he sent me if it helps in the identification process: Notice the simmilarities ;D |

Sent from my Atari 2600 --- End quote --- Thats a Gauntlet Dark Legacy cab, none of the MKs had a big MIDWAY logo at the top, and the purple control panel is sort of a dead give-away. Sadly , Im not sure exactly what your cab is, Ive seen it in a TON of conversions. Everything from Street Fighter Alpha to Area 51. It *might* be a generic Dynamo, but I cant say for sure. |
