--- Quote from: Sig00 on June 20, 2013, 10:20:09 pm ---Quick question though, if my LED trackball requires a 12V power source I would be able to just tap in from the yellow wire (probably using the adapter) and that would power it correct? --- End quote --- On a PC power supply 4-pin connector, the yellow wire is 12v. If you use a power tap for a fan, the 12v wire going to the fan connector might be red like this one. If there's any doubt, you can *carefully* verify it with your multi-meter. ;D If the LEDs are too bright for your taste, they should also work with 5v. --- Quote from: Sig00 on June 20, 2013, 10:20:09 pm ---The last two things on my list to order (until everything gets here and I realize I missed something lol) are the trackball mounting plate and the spinner. I'm not really sure how you pick the trackball mounting plate. I'll be ordering this trackball http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-ILLUMINATED-GREEN-HAPP-TRACK-BALL-DIFFERENT-/360294329905 and just am not sure if it matters which mounting plate you get. --- End quote --- Happ 3" trackball uses the plate mentioned here. Many vendors carry them. --- Quote from: Sig00 on June 20, 2013, 10:20:09 pm ---As for the spinner, I'm looking at either the Turbo Twist 2 and the Ultimarc Spintrak (or maybe the community would suggest another option?), I'm leaning towards the Spintrak but I think they would both be good choices. --- End quote --- Many people (myself included) sing the praises of the TT2. The Spintrak is definitely a viable option that's overlooked far too often. It is already wired to work with the Mini-Pac Opti harness. (You were still planning on using a Mini-Pac, right?) Scott |

Awesome PL1, thanks for the help! Yes, I'm planning on going with the mini-Pac and that's why I was leaning towards the Spintrak. Do you think it's worth the inconvenience of going with the TT2 and having to wire it? I guess I'll order everything next week and hopefully I can get this project going soon! :) |

Remember to look at the steering wheel and flywheel options, too. Scott |

@jdbailey1206 Any luck on finding out which connectors those were? |

No. I'm sorry. I am going to work on my cabinet tonight. Getting the small things together. Mounting, checking measurements on my CP, in general nit picking the small stuff. I have all my purchased parts together in a box that I want to sort. I will take a look at them and get you a name and serial number hopefully. I purchased them off of amazon I believe. I'll post pictures of what I want to accomplish with cab on here by Saturday. Thanks for your patience Sig. |
