Well please share anyways! For most people (not me) who only see the city landscape, buildings and houses all their life it is amazing. Also, if this sounds like you go out and see some shinny parts of your local region or take a vacation!  :blah:

Absolutely stunning pictures! Hope you enjoyed yourself....and had a few layers of coats on.

Using a Cannon Rebel T3i with the stock lens and a f/2.8 for some of the shots.

I don't live there anymore, though my mother does. I live near the Sacramento area and quite honestly, Sacramento sucks. Not my favorite place to live. It's reasonably safe and all but not my cup of tea.

Let me try and post a few pics. ...

The first three pics are when my mother broke her arm and I had to drive up there with my wife (who is from L.A.) to fetch my mother and drive her back down. Photo #4 shows a big orange blob. That my friends is a large (though not the largest to roam around up there) snow plow in nearly pure white out conditions. Yes, I am driving and taking pictures. Yes, I did not see the snow plow until I took the picture (essentially right on top of the beast) but I knew it was somewhere. For those that don't know, when snow plows are operating at full bore, they make a distinct noise. A sort of rumbling roar coupled with the sound a bucket loader might make. That's the sound of the diesel engine going full bore as the auger chews up ten foot snow drifts. Seriously, you do not want to be in front of one when it is operating.

Then final pick (mismarked as #1) is after the storm. A month I think? It's the local post office/general store/sandwich shop

SavannahLion:
Sorry for the ---smurfy--- quality, the next two are actually screen grabs from the video I took.

The next is the road leading up to my house I think... two maybe three weeks after that storm?

The next is the house I grew up under... I think 15 feet of snow. That house is designed to withstand that kind of snow.

I have others. Most will probably need to be scanned since they predate my digital camera. The digital ones I'd have to hunt down.
