32" Arcade Cabinet Kit from gameroomsolutions.com
« on: March 04, 2018, 11:12:11 pm »
Hi all,

I just finished putting together a 32" arcade cabinet kit that I purchased from gameroomsolutions.com. Here's a quick review:

Overall, I'm very impressed with the kit and love how the cabinet has turned out. This is my first full-size cabinet. I've been looking to build a 32" cabinet but was not interested to spend the many hours of planning / woodworking. The kit is exactly what I had been looking for. The price is great and it came well-packaged. The material is high quality and fits together seamlessly. It is quite easy to put together - if you can assemble an IKEA furniture, then you can put this together. Ryan from gameroomsolutions.com has been very responsive with any questions as well helped me with the graphics layout.

A few other details:
- 32" AOC U3277PWQU 4k monitor
- 2x xbox controllers
- 2x Aimtrak light guns (sensor is hidden behind the bezel)
- Side art is from Judan @ https://judan.deviantart.com/art/Classic-Video-and-Arcade-Games-311690057. He's been great to work with as well! Check out the description and how much work has been put into it.
- LED light controller is PacLED64 from Ultimarc
- Button controller is MiniPac from, yep, Ultimarc
- PC is an Intel Nuc
- eGPU is an Aorus GTX 1070 Gaming Box
- To minimize power consumption when not in use, I'm using a TP-Link smart plug and control it with a little script, so when PC goes to sleep, it automatically cuts power to eGPU and cabinet lights (and turns it back on when PC wakes up).

If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Cheers!

at least your plastered the sides with ugly arcade related art instead of console games!

How do you play the 3DS games that require the touch screen? Mouse input?

I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.
