Would this motherboard run hyperspin fine?

I'm just looking to play MAME, NES, SNES, and Genesis games on it. Just the old stuff.

I'm thinking of this motherboard, but I'm getting mixed google results on how well an E-350 handles hyperspin.

The motherboard in question:

It's about equivalent to a Core Duo 1.86ghz.  It'll run the emulators you mention just fine.

On that basis, other people can probably answer your question better, as I don't use HyperSpin.

here is a great explanation on why hyperspin has the requirements it does.

This is just me talking from experience but personally the biggest factor you are also going to have is your resolution. Just recently i resurrected a Pentium 4 D unit that oddly runs ddr1 ram. This unit stutters slightly when using hyperspin with full effects and videos. It's only noticeable during the first 2 seconds of each video. It's more distinct when you change consoles and a new video plays at the same time. The test was done at 1024x768. The stuttering dropped drastically when using 640x480.

Thanks guys! I didn't plan to use hyperspin. I planned to use coinops. But, I found out that I can't solder worth crap and destroyed the modchip and the xbox board when I tried to install it last week :/

So instead of buying another xbox and mod chip, I'm going the PC route. I can at least build computers and configure them fine :)

There are other front ends, if the E-350 doesn't run HyperSpin very well.  It doesn't sound like you're overly attached to the idea of HyperSpin.
