Nitronic Rush/Distance

(1/1)

BadMouth:
Generic Eric posted about this in the Software forum a while back.

Something just jogged my memory about it and I thought it deserved a repost in the new driving forum.
I downloaded it long ago, but never did get around to installing it.
It uses an xbox 360 controller.  See the thread linked above for wheel setup using x360ce.

It is free to download here: http://nitronic-rush.com/

The developers took the concept to Kickstarter with a new game called Distance (already ended):

It is still in development claiming a release date of Summer 2013 :-\

Fursphere:
I've played Nitronic Rush quite a bit.  I don't think it'll be playable with a wheel.

Why?  The damn cars have wings!  There are crazy huge jumps where you need to deploy wings and fly the car to the landing (using rocket boosters too).  I don't know how you'd manage aerial flight with a wheel.

You could probably use a wheel's paddle shifters to access the roll left / roll right jets boosters, but the up / down axis would be tricky.
