System requirments for Hyperspin??????
sabreerbasAlpha:
Along my new build in the project section, I was putting a 138 in 1 board in the Bar top. But I have decided to go down the PC route.
Now Looking at some posts on the hyperspin forums there seems to be some conflicting stories.
My question is this. To run all the games up to and including ps2 which I see takes a lot of system resource what would you recommend processor wise? and what about ram?. Does anybody have any advice about what to buy to run the games at a good frame rate. I don't want to build it for it to run like crap.
Help please.. :dunno
Thank you..

So Hyperspin is different than the games, in fact, they are completely separate for all intensive purposes.
Hyperspin requires a modest system to do the Flash based interface. So something of the Intel Core i3 Variety with 4 GB of ram and a modest graphics card will get you good to go.
PS2 games don't require very much as they have been emulated for quite a while and computers have been getting substantially faster. So the above would hold modestly true for PS2 games as well.
The catch are the heavy hitters for Mame like Gauntlet legends, SF Rush and Blitz 99. These games require serious investments in Processing power. You need roughly 4.8-5Ghz to run these games without stutter completely. Look in the projects section for one about a water cooled system and you'll see what you need to get to a place without any stutter. These three games and most of the games can be run with a good Intel Core i5 at 3Ghz. There may be some stutter however but it's up to you how far down the rabbit hole you go.

No processor exists that will run all the games, especially in MAME.
Buy the fastest Intel quad core processor you can afford.

"All the games" certainly is an ambiguous statement but the guy with the water cooled system has made short work of many of the games. at 5Ghz and faster you're pretty much good to go for every MAME game there is from what I've read.

That statement is a bit lost on me. How can no option exist to play all the games. ??????
