Classic Games question..

You aren't finding the combination you posted because it is a mutually exclusive combination.

That Phoenix arcade board is very nice but its still the rom route and its more limited than mame.
It currently supports 70 vert games and 40 horiz.

This. I think you are misunderstanding what the ArcadeSD is, it is just ROMs and Emulation on a board, without the flexibility or continual development (ArcadeSD is one guy) of MAME.

I don't need that many games.. and i like the idea of a simple board, a simple power source,  and the jamma wires, versus a whole computer stuck in there

just check the literature on that board first to make sure it supports the games that you do want.
