In the end I got the total costs to be about $415 and build time approx 20 hours. Unless I sell it I'll never really know what kind of profit this project could have pulled in, I guessed I may be able to move it for about $1,500 - $1,750 if I was patient but hard to say. |

I checked in on this build when it first started but I haven't clicked on it in a while. I gotta say, this is a cool freaking cabinet. This may be one of the most original and well executed builds ever. Very nice. |

I've never been a fan of cocktail cabinets. Not because I don't like how they look (they can be some of the coolest designs around, like this one) but because personally I don't like the idea of hunching over a flat screen for a decent length of time. However, this build is something I would like to attempt. DK being my all time fave arcade game I may just need to flagrantly copy this idea and do my own. They say imitation is the best form of flattery. :P As you said earlier in the build the barrel itself being old doesn't have to look "perfect". You cleaned yours up and varnished it but any old knots in the wood there just add character! It's so simple I wonder why it wasn't done before now. Gratz on an excellent project!!! :applaud: |
