Ive toyed with yhe idea of making bartops also to fund my addiction. But like you say if you worked out how many man hours you put into a build its just not worth it...but maybe on my next build I may make more than one at a time. So instead of cutting 2 sides id be cutting say 6 or 8. This would definately cut down on the man hours... Its also a problem not being able to put any front ends on the cabs. I think the huge vastness of say hyperspin is really what impresses people, but sadly its not really fair to be selling systems with major front ends installed...ok for friends and family in my book but not for joe public... Great idea by the way wish you luck with your sales. |

I always wonder about the aspect of maintenance.. once the cab leaves your premises, is it "as-is" or are you fielding emails/phone calls for tech support, etc... Sort of like in-laws and computers, they ask that I install their new printer, okay easy enough. BAM, printer installed, two weeks later the hard drive dies.."whatever you did to our computer, you killed it!!!!" uh,...... :banghead: LOL |
