My First Project VW Theme

<< < (2/3) > >>

Darscot:
I should try and take some better pics.  The guy that painted it for me did an amazing job and these don't do the paint justice.  I got the numbers off the net for the official 67 Pearl White and Sea Blue.  Its automotive paint and the finish is just like a car.

PL1:
Definitely a cool cab with an original theme.   :applaud:

If you do decide to sell it, contact Mike from "American Pickers" -- he's a big VW fan and you might even get featured on the show.   ;D

What are those odd controls center back of the CP?  :pics

Isn't that spinner(?) a little close to the P1/P2 Start and Coin(?) buttons?

Felsir:
Great original theme!
I keep imagining a windscreen wiper on it  ;D

Darscot:
The controls along the back are:
The first one is a a toggle with a missile switch. The switch turns off everything but the pc.
Inside I wired a car amp with a pc power supply there is a ten inch sub that fires out the bottom and it runs the front speakers. There are fans that vent out the back. I didn't want that running all the time. So I wanted a protected on off switch.
Next is just a button that exits the current game back to hyperspin.
Then a rocker that controls the rotating monitor.
The last is the volume knob.
The spinner was a late addition and wanted it as far from joystick as I could. It's not ideal as the panel is tight but I didn't want a bigger panel. It would take away from the theme.

PL1:
If you ever decide to re-do the CP, you can probably put the Start and Coin buttons even with the back row controls and centered horizontally between the joystick and player buttons.

That will give you plenty of room in the center for the spinner.
