Here's a preview clip from tonight's show. NSFW. Check it out if you can!

That was terrible. Since the advent of Jim Carey, who is funny sometimes, 'over-the-top' and 'plainly crude' have become the methods of (wannabe) comedians. And they're all tenors.......the white ones anyways........

Thanks for checking it out, Gray. I agree that Jim Carey is hit or miss, too.

I don't think folks are "getting" the jist of these clips. I guess if you have to explain it, it's not funny, but it is if you understand what they are doing.
It's shock social satire, and pretty good IMHO. But my funny bone runs pretty deep. :)

Shock social satire stopped being funny when South Park rammed it down our throats and then Family Guy dropped the satire while upping the shock. When those two shows made eleventy billion dollars we got clone after clone after clone in all forms until the whole genre lost all intelligence and all funny and became Wil Ferrell.

So there's no room for other entries in a genre which make someone laugh? I mean, it's all been done. Comedy is an art form, and funny is in the eye of the beholder. The kid with the cell phone was very well done, but I guess it boils down to whether you appreciate the message. It's very easy for folks to take stuff like this personally, and see themselves as the target.
Is it time for slapstick to make a comeback? Chevy, where are you? :)
