Quick question: Can anyone tell me what the marquee dimensions on the Mintendo bartop are, as well as the live area that's not covered by brackets?

Me. Well, future me. A couple weeks ago I had an idea for a project (something absurd enough that it might get me excommunicated from this forum lol) and I've been plugging away at the art ever since, just to see if it's something I'd want to do, but the marquee has been a blindspot and I've kinda been working in the dark on it.

Hey everyone....beautiful looking cabs in here !!!

I ordered a single player Degenatron quite some time ago and lost my psd files. The whole package was actually sitting safely stored away until I just recently began to build it and it is coming out nice ( =

Is there any chance someone could point me to where to obtain the correct PSD's so I can make some art for my machine? I did find some templates posted from a long time ago but was wondering if they were actually good as the poster was unsure as well.

I am also looking into purchasing a Ultimate Widescreen sometime in the near future.....looks sweet!!!

I would just like to finish the cab I have first and cannot do much art wise without the files....looking for a PSD with the sideart , cpo, admin panel below cpo and even marquee.....if one exists for the back door that would be awesome too.

THANK YOU to anyone that can help me !!!

13.25 x 3.3
13.25 x 2.3 is the "live" area

I’ve been searching for either a bartop or controller kit (or two) for some time, but my problem is that I haven’t been able to find the button layout I want. I don’t need a ton of buttons as I don’t play fighting games. I’d like to have a control panel laid out sort of like Moon Patrol. My intent is to have a four way ball joystick in the middle, two buttons on either side, and 1 and 2 player buttons, and maybe a credit button. Do you have something that can accommodate this? Thanks much in advance!

Eddie

I need black melamine comparable to what you make your cabs out of except in 3/4" and a nice finished plywood.  I've listed both below.  I know there are not Menards in AZ but I'm sure you know of a supply chain close by.

Was wondering if a 20" CRT TV would fit in this after decasing.
would also probably need some extra vertical bracing for the weight of the TV if i go with the 1/2 non Baltic birch option.

hey, I noticed you haven't posted all that other stuff on your website that you've been working on. Not ready to unveil it yet?

Getting close.

Glad you reminded me.  I just sent that file off to the CNC.   :applaud:

Dude, hurry up. I want to see that prototype in realspace!

Should have it in hand Monday.

Bam!

Gotta pick up some Kilz primer so I can start painting it.

Seriously considering getting one of your cocktail kits.

Does one of the wood grain melamine you have match the original Pacman cocktail wood grain?

It looks like the back in this model is split for the hinging side&top, is that correct?

Do you carry the glass as well?

Thanks,

-Charles

So I have to check if I can still get that cherry melamine. I've switched CNC slips need to see if that's still an option. In any case, it doesn't match the original Midway cabinets, but it was as close as I could find.

And yes the back is designed to be hinged.

I do not carry the glass but it is easily found, it's the replacement glass with the 3.5" radius corners.

Hi, I am planning to cut your widescreen bartop version out on my cnc.  I have one question though, in the file it says "white lines are cut, yellow lines are shallow, redlines are pockets 1/4" deep.  I was wondering how deep the yellow lines need to be?  Thanks.

How the heck do I arrange shipping? Isn't it easier if he just bills me?

What other option do I have if I want a full size? I guess I could build a frame but that would take time.

Best option is to find someone local to do the cutting - the problem with full size cabs is most shippers will charge a lot extra for packages over 4' in any dimension since it takes up so much room on their truck - so it costs more than most people are willing to pay just for the shipping (often more than the cab itself ) -- CHeck your local area for a makers space that you could sign up to for a month or so and use their CNC machine ( or go there and see if they would be willing to cut it for you for a small fee ) or a business that has a CNC machine that would cut it for you for a fee (ie. a cabinet maker, etc. that has a CNC machine)- check your local Craigslist and see if any CNC shops offer services - etc.

The reason you will not find many cheap places that sell them is because the shipping can run several hundred dollars - since they are oversize/overweight for most carriers and if/when it gets damaged in shipping replacing a damaged piece means paying again for shipping making it a losing proposition to sell them in most cases. ( unless you are charging $1000 + )

Thanks for your reply. Maybe the bartop and the base can be sent as two units and assembled together, rather than one large unit. I'll check.

So the plans are not scaled, they are full sized, and in inches.  Also it is designed for 1/2" material.

hey Haruman, I just ordered a widescreen bartop from your site (very excited!) and was hoping to get some templates for the control panel/sides/marquee so I could get started on my artwork.  Do you have any official templates to work from, or should I look to create some based on the DWG file?  Thanks in advance!

So once again, we find that evil of the past seeps into the present like salad dressing through cheap wax paper, mixing memory and desire.
