going to place my order tomorrow but i have one more question. is it possible to cut out a 230mm hole in the back to accept a 230mm fan for exhaust us in the back? i would like to go into some detail to the position of the fan due the reason i want to install a motherboard on the back door. once i make the order we can go into some details there unless this forum is ok. (i do have a smaller 140mm fan i could use if the 230mm is considered to be to large.)

230mm is probably too big if you're going to have a motherboard on there as well...

Finished! Big thanks to everyone on the forum, as well as other forums on the web, and haruman of course! Ran through metal slug 2 (literally) cause I finally had a few minutes to give the arcade a somewhat lengthy test run. 32 continues, but it was for science! By far the biggest challenge was rocket launcher and hyper spin. Thanks all!

thanks for the file, i got in my email. what buttons do you recommend to use with your cabinets? i havent decided if im going with sanwa or another in terms of joysticks but i assume ill need a screw type of push button. suggestions?

Personally, can't go wrong with the Sanwa OSBN (screw type).  Keep in mind your kit has been cut for 30mm buttons X 16, and 24mm buttons X 6, all screw type.  Joystick hole mounting pattern is the typical Sanwa JLF (another great all around stick, IMO).

thanks for the advice! i was looking into the IL push buttons since they have a wider color selection that i have seen. but from my 8bitdo fightstick experience im a little hesitate on sanwa parts. i believe my fight stick doesnt have real sanwa parts but if they are legit then im just disappointed on how they have been performing for me.

oh yeah, package has been delivered! still ironing out on which cpu to go with for my build on this cabinet.

They will work as long as you use shortened buttons for the admin CP. Otherwise, they will bang into each other.

He has the Ultimate Widescreen.  No buttons on the admin.

While those buttons will fit, they are a little small (~28mm) for the holes (30mm).

the drawing on the right shows the width of the outer most ring at 33mm unless im reading it incorrectly.

Yes - what they were talking about is on some models the admin buttons are on the front panel under the Control panel and are put in place sideways from the front of the system - and the longer buttons wind up hitting the Joystick/other buttons - so for those you need to use shorter length buttons.

for example the 6 buttons on the normal widescreen model

I was wondering if the bartops can be mounted to the wall?  I wanted to buy a 2 player bar top box and then put a  jamma pandora 4s fighter stickbox..  can this be done as I see you have cut outs already but I rather get one of these bozlxes that already come with all the hardware and games.

You could probably mount to the wall.  I wouldn't do that with the melamine / mdf version though, I would only do that with the birch plywood one.

Decided to try to tackle one of the Haruman bartop kits.   Trying to decide between the Ultimate Widescreen or the WIDESCREEN EVO XR 2.  Hoping for something that can accommodate 2 adults playing Street Fighter 2 comfortably.  Plan on using a 24" 16:9 monitor or a 23" 16:10.

Think I've decided to go with IL Eurostick and iL concave buttons.

After almost two years of deliberation I finally settled on the Evo XR as my kit of choice and I'm 90% done with the art package but now I might have to bump up to the widescreen version. That extra wide CP looks super comfy.
