Hey Haruman. I got the widescreen bartop kit from you. Im planning to use a PC, what do you recommend with regards to the size of the motherboard? I'm planning to use itx or matx due to small form factor. If I use the standard size would that give me problems? thanks!

I finished this several weeks ago, but haven't posted pics yet. First time posting pics so if it goes horribly wrong I may need help lol.

Special thanks to Haruman and Malenko for the kit and the sweet ass artwork

Currently running a 412 in 1 which I don't recommend. I think it's worse than a 60 in 1. I'm going to replace it soon with either a PC or an ArcadeSD within the next couple of months.

Edit: More details - I used goldleaf buttons on the panel and a Sanwa JLW. The panel is kind of tight on the minitendo kit so I'd definitely recommend the goldleafs. They feel great in gameplay too. The JLW was a hard fit. I had to bend some of the switch pins to get it to work ok, but it's fine. I used a 15" Dell and that's really the best size to use in this kit. You can see everything ok even with the bezel art. It would be hard to see everything with a 17".

So there's been a few pedestals for the bartops... and then there have been a couple of actual pedestals. I'm also currently working on a 4P player pedestal for a customer.

I've ordered all of the pieces for a Haruman Minitendo-based Pac-Man themed kit. I went with Ultimarc MagStick and Goldleafs, a 15" Dell E157FP, and an ArcadeSD board.

I am stuck on what to do for a speaker, though. It looks like I'll only have ~3.25" to work with. What did you use?

I used a basic 2 inch speaker I got on amazon. You don't need anything great for the old games.

It fit pretty good. Drill holes to attach one side before you glue up the kit to make it easy to secure the speaker later. It's offset to one side of the grill but you can't see it from the outside.

I'll be buying The Degenatron soon. I just have some questions. What buttons would work best for the control panel and the admin? Also if I got a switchable joy stick would I have enough room to reach under the control panel to switch it from 4 to 8 way? If not Id just get a happ joystick that is 8 way

Happ or IL style buttons. For the admin, short buttons are best, like Ultimarc Gold Leafs.

You'd have to pull the panel up or go through the back to switch. Going through the back would be difficult I would think.

Now I have a different question. I just looked at The Offender bartop. I don't know much about control panels. But it looks like it is for 2 joysticks. So could I have a 4 way on the left and an 8 way on the right? And would a 17" monitor fit in the offender? And are happ controls for that one too?

It's for a multi-williams setup but you could do that with the joysticks for sure. And yes, 17" monitor will fit and it is made for Happ / IL buttons.

Hey there. So you need 2 Sanwa JLF joysticks, 16 x Sanwa OBSN 30mm, and 6 x Sanwa OBSN 24mm. (OBSN are the screw in type)

Has anyone tried putting in a 20" Dell 2007FP (vertical of course) in the Pretendo with Nintendo bezel artwork? It looks like it should fit per the dimensions but I am just not too sure.

Sure. The designs are all mine but I did get a little photoshop/InDesign assistance from a few friends. The logos on the bezel were pulled from the NHL 94 matchup screen and the images on the front and CP were screenshots pulled from a game of NHL 94 running on Fusion. The art was printed by Bowman signs in Milford, CT (Lucian045 here on byoac). Brad is awesome and does lots of arcade and pin printing. The CP has a polycarbonate coat on it for protection. Looks and feels amazing. We reverse printed the bezel and marquee so we get that nice shiny look of the plexi. Fits with the theme, reminds me of the glass above the boards in a hockey rink.

Thanks again for all the help, getting nearly done with my Neo Geo themed Haruman Ultimate Widescreen can.

Can someone advise on a hinge solution for the back door? I bought some little hinges but they aren't working. I have the stock kit with the hinge tabs and door stops.

I used the same magnets as the control panel but they are way strong, I would probably use industrial Velcro next time.
