The words "proper looking" are strategically missing from your comment, I see.

I dunno, I think mine looks more like an original Galaga myself (minus the minty green T-molding).

So when applying the vinyl stickers to the bartop, do you guys just have a spray bottle with water and a couple drops of soap?  Then spray the wood and sticker?

DO you need a squeegee as well?

I use a small spray bottle with water and a drop of dawn.  Spray the top of the wood till it's wet, apply the sticker on top, get it aligned, and then use something to squeeze the water out towards the edges.  I use a hard squeegee, one of the yellow ones from here:

Do you cut the control panel so that there is extra hanging over edges, then once everything dries, cut that excess off?  I just don't want to have the edges lifting up once everything dries.

Sorry for the newb questions..I've never applied artwork to a control panel before, and I only have ONE shot :(

Yes, the sticker has some excess to trim.  The excess in the front you can fold down and let the T-molding hold it in.

in case others are wondering about the T-molding, it is VERY easy to trim the excess t molding on the 1/2" wood.  I actually ordered this http://www.amazon.com/Quad-Trimmer-Carbon-Steel-Blades/dp/B000WULWX2

and it was a waste of money for me.  I started using it and the cuts were not consistent at all, so i used a sharp exacto knife to fix...then I realized that the exacto knife worked better ::)

With a sharp exacto knife, trimming the excess T molding is very fast and clean.

What size tmolding did you trim.  I have used 1/2 black and white, but now i want to use a red color and cannot find 1/2 in red.

I think mine was 3/4".  So there was excess to trim on both sides of the bartop.

Does the 3/4 provide a smooth finish?  Any pictures.  Just curious before calling.

Yes..very smooth.  Just look at the galaga and ms pacman bartops that were made.  The t molding on those was trimmed to fit the 1/2" wood.  Looks fine.

Due to popular demand, redesigned the Defender bartop to be a little slimmer, I think this looks better as well:

Working on finishing my widebody bartop!  Its a beast and I love it, but having to do a few custom tweaks in order to ventilate it enough for the PC.  Got the art finished and will be sending to printer soon.  Based off the awesome Streetfighter Cab here http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,84649.msg886549.html#msg886549.  Any feedback on the art?

So you don't care about the volume?  DO you just adjust in MAME or whataver software you are using?

Actually, the hyperspin logo is just the sample I used for my buddy....I have a custom name on mine, "Frostcade"   Same look as the hyperspin logo, but my friend wants me to build one for him called "SheepCade"  Not sure about that, but to each their own!
